the hippocamp community produce one of our regular themed compilations. the brief for the compilation was 'dark, haunted, atmospheric' - it was left pretty open and the resulting album works really well as a cohesive whole. all tracks sent in were accepted and i've tried to get them into as good a sequence as i can with the varied styles on offer. Damien Shingleton: "I made some field recordings in Darjeeling, most significant of which were those of a blind Nepalese beggar at the Chowk Bazaar and the family at the Tenzing restaurant on Burdwan Road. I was apprehensive about recording the beggar, afraid of looking like a tourist vulture.
